Luxury Villas in Seminyak : A review

The last time I was in Bali I was lucky enough to spend some time at the incredible Abaca Villas. There are a lot of ‘compound’ style properties in Bali that are especially great for extended groups. Abaca take it to another level – these are some of the best luxury villas in Seminyak right now!
The Location

The Villas are located down a quite lane off Jalan Petitenget which is about a 5-8 minute drive from the busy shopping and nightlife streets of inner Seminyak. However, only 2 minutes walk are arguably Seminyaks best restaurants – Metis, Barbacao and Da Maria, with the gorgeous Sardine and Livingstone cafes right next door.

Shop all day and stay local at night. And there are some beautiful rice paddies next door – getting harder and harder to find in Seminyak!

The Villas

There are 4 Villas positioned one after the other on a long narrow block with access from one to the next made available via sliding gates at the end of each swimming pool. You can stand at the first villa – Iluh – and literally look down at 4 swimming pools in a row. Abaca Villa’s can cater to 2 or 25!

Apart from clever positioning the decor and fit out of each villa is just stunning. Contemporary design with an asian influence and high quality fixture and fittings have been used throughout. Every bedroom has its own private and luxurious bathroom  and there are spacious pavilion style common areas.

Less than a year old they really are just gorgeous.

Villa Iluh

5 bedrooms, including one King in a loft with views of the rice paddies and another twin bedroom  in a traditional Joglo building. This is the first and most expansive Villa.

Villa kadek

Also 5 bedrooms and spread over 2 levels.

Villa Nyoman

Sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms Villa Nyoman continues with heart stopping interiors and a stunning use of space.

Sleeping just 2 in gorgeous luxury Ketut may be small but being at the end of the complex it offers complete privacy, peace and quiet and continues the same standard of finish and design. There is also a decent size pool just for two!

Abaca Villas are fully staffed from 7am -9pm and the fabulous team are there to make your stay as incredible as possible. They will organise all your activities and make sure your safety and comfort is paramount at all times.

I’ve seen some amazing villas in Bali over the years, and other countries as well. But when I put my Interior Designer hat on I can honestly say these are some of the most beautiful villas I have seen anywhere. Make sure you book quickly as once word gets around Abaca Villas Seminyak are very rarely going to be vacant!
